DeKalb County police are seeking the gunman or gunmen involved in a double shooting early Thursday that resulted in the death of one man.

Police have not released many details about the shooter or shooters, but the gunfire erupted in the Highlands at East Atlanta apartment complex at about 1 a.m., Fox 5 Atlanta reported. (The apartment complex, located at 2051 Flat Shoals Road SE, is in unincorporated DeKalb County, not the East Atlanta neighborhood.)

An argument between a group of men led to the shooting, police said.

In the ensuing mêlée, a man and woman were shot.

The man later succumbed to his injuries; the woman's injuries are not deemed life threatening and she is expected to survive.
