Why go: Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF) is hosting its 2nd annual “Youth and Family Day” at Underground Atlanta featuring all kinds of kids fun like playing musical instruments, singing songs, playing dress up or learning hip hop. There will also be family-friendly films and more.
Where/When: Henderson Arena, 4380 Stacks Rd., College Park, Saturday, August 20, 11 a.m. and Sunday, August 21, 12 p.m.
Why go: Take your kids over to College Park for a free two-day festival that will include:f cultural foods, arts & crafts and live music, featuring 21 bands. The bonus for kids: free pony rides for the kids, story tellers, face painting and a Kidz Funzone.

Why go: As part of its recurring program, “Giraffes Can’t Dance!” by Giles Andreae, starts story time this Saturday at the Barnes & Noble at Edgewood.

Where/When: Piedmont Park, 1071 Piedmont Ave., NE, Atlanta, Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m. and Sunday, August 21, 11 a.m.
Why go: Featuring glass blowers, jewelers, painters, sculptors, photographers and more, get in on the Piedmont Park Summer Arts & Crafts Festival. Driving into town for this event might help your kids decide that learning more about being creative could be fun. This event will also feature a children’s play area.
Where/When: Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker St, NW, Atlanta, Saturday, August 20, 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Why go: Don’t you and your kids want to see what happens at night with the creatures that live underwater?
