Fatal Shooting Outside of a Moreland Avenue Club

Police are investigating the shooting that took Terry Blount’s life.

Saturday evening gunshots inside the Nite Lite Phaze 2 Lounge on Moreland Avenue took the life 26 year-old Decatur man, Terry Blount.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the victims mother, "said she was told by relatives who were with her son at the club that the suspect walked up to Blount and shot him in the chest."

Blount then ran outside the club and collapsed. The club is located at Custer and Moreland avenues in unincorporated South DeKalb County.

The victims mother questioned the club's security and how a firearm could have been inside of the DeKalb County club.

Witness statements and statements from the Blount family say that the shooting stemmed from an argument over a woman, possibly Blount's ex-girlfriend.

DeKalb County Police are investigating the incident.

Very sad story. But going to a club where every word is misspelled in the name can't be a very good place.
