Crim Open Campus has partnered with Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to prepare students for success by preparing them with fundamental skills and knowledge needed for employment.
This partnership provides three phases that allow students to learn interview techniques, customer service, work ethics, and job opportunities with Hartsfield:
- Phase 1: Human resource representatives from Hartsfield provided a training session for 50 Crim students. They covered topics related with job searching, including work ethics, professional attire, customer service and even practiced firm handshakes. Students had one-on-one opportunities to interact with human resource employees and experienced the importance of networking.
- Phase 2: On Nov. 16, Hartsfield representatives will conduct mock interviews at Crim. The students are required to dress appropriately for this event, and Hartsfield provided a closet full of appropriate interview attire for the students. The mock interviews were designed to build the students' confidence and prepare them for interviews in the future.
- Phase 3: On Nov. 30, students will visit Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The students will receive a tour and experience the culture and concept at Hartsfield. They will learn where employees park, experience customer service for themselves, and learn of job opportunities. Lunch will be provided to the students and the tour will conclude with a question and answer session.
Opened in 2005 at the campus of the former Crim Comprehensive High School, Crim Open Campus is an alternative high school for children aged 16 and older who need a different learning structure from traditional education.
