The Blessed Life AOH Church of God in East Atlanta latest signpost message is a direct appeal to a certain segment of the fallen.

Let's face it: We're bombarded with billboard ads and signs vying for our attention.

So after awhile, we may blot them out in a sort of haze of visual clutter.

Occasionally, there will be something that catches our attention and manages to break through.

"Come Whores," an invitation to the fallen among us from the Blessed Life Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God on Glenwood Avenue, does just that, as East Atlanta resident Beth Hogan, who snapped this pic, noted.

We tried calling the church but there was no answer.

Of course, in the American religious tradition, ministers aren't known to mince words or tiptoe around the points they're trying to make.

Still, one wonders if that's the approach Jesus would have taken?

Wow! This is too funny. I've been known to be too vocal so, I'm tongue in cheek on this one.

Well that gives new meaning to "Church being a great place to meet women."

Of course this is directed at women and no mention of the vile men who perpetuate this need for this business of biblical times to florish today. Always the women are blamed rather than the men of all economic status. Things never change.

In that area of town the sign should read "Come Crack Whores" .

Why is it not obvious to everybody that some trickster just rearranged some of the letters on a sign that originally must have read, "COME WORSHIP," in order to evoke a silly response from idiots? It seems they were successful.

Wow! I *was* about to go off on the church with accusations of misogyny & hate, but after reading the above comment by Charles, I realized he's most likely correct.
Some idiot kid pulling a prank.

My apologies for the "idiot" crack. That was a bit overly harsh.

Yes! I will agree. Someone sabotaged this sign. I am A.O.H. and we aim to maintain integrity in all we do and never to degrade a person in whatever state he or she may be in. Our goal is to bring souls to Christ.
