Can You Identify These Family Dollar Armed Robbers?

EAST ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department has released a series of surveillance camera images of three armed robbers who took $400 in a late-night hold-up of the Family Dollar at 1104 Moreland Ave. SE.

From APD spokesman Officer John Chafee: "Three male suspects entered the location and robbed the business of approximately $400 in cash. One of the suspects was armed with a rifle."

At least one customer and three employees were in the store at the time of the incident, which occurred just before 10 p.m.

The customer told police he was purchasing cigarettes when a man came in, pointed a rifle at him while an accomplice grabbed him and took him to the back of the store and left him there.

The cashier who was waiting on the customer, ran to the manager's office, locked herself in, and called 911.

A second employee who was reconciling his register's receipts fled the store as he saw the gunman approach, only to be attacked by a third accomplice waiting outside. That third robber held the employee and bit the worker on the shoulder until he managed to escape.

The three robbers then fled south on Moreland.

Video footage shows the first robber walking into the store and circling its outer perimeter.

The second robber is seen walking in, pulling a rifle from inside his jacket and pointing it at the customer.

The third robber waits outside.

• Robber No. 1 was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood and light-colored jeans.

• Robber No. 2 was last seen wearing a black unzipped jacket with a white undershirt and blue jeans.

• Robber No. 3 was last seen wearing a black jacket with blue jeans and possibly a brown undershirt.
