Bell Street Burritos has moved to the Irwin Street Market in the Old Fourth Ward.
Shortly after the restaurant opened its second location on Howell Mill Road nine months ago, the owner notified them that the building was being sold, owner Matt Hinton told Patch on Friday at the restaurant’s grand opening.
So Hinton began looking for another location and found this one. And it’s right where he has always wanted to be, he said. Even before opening a second restaurant on the westside, he was scoping out Candler Park and other neighborhoods on Atlanta’s eastside.
“This is just where I’ve always thought of as the geographic center of parts of Atlanta that are interesting,” Hinton said.
With its original location on Edgewood Avenue, Bell Street Burritos offers burritos, quesadillas and tacos. And on Fridays, their cook Lidia makes tamales.
“They’re the best tamales you’ve ever had,” Hinton said.
Otherwise, the menu is simple. Pollo is called chicken. And carnitas is called pork.
The restaurant had a “soft opening” beginning Monday, Sept. 10. Their grand opening is Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15.
And while their Facebook page jokes that the grand opening will feature gymnastics and a rodeo, in reality, they are just offering good food, Hinton said.
And maybe some bingo.
Bell Street Burritos is located at 660 Irwin St. and is open Mon.-Thurs., 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

I love the way it is right on the new beltline. Walk down from midtown, get some burritos, walk back and work it off. Or get an ice cream next door too! I have already eaten here and YUMMY! I got the tacos!
