Atlanta Police Plan No Extra Security for 'Dark Knight'

In DeKalb County, Starlight Six Drive-in Theatre plans no program changes after the Colorado shooting.

An Atlanta Police Department spokesman said Friday morning the department has no plans for extra security at movie theaters in the wake of the .

"At this time, we are not aware of any ongoing or immediate threats to movie theaters," spokesman Carlos Campos said in an e-mail. "We are in constant contact with the FBI, and if that changes we would immediately act to notify theater owners and patrons and provide extra security."

"Dark Knight" — — is showing on two screens at the on Moreland Avenue in South DeKalb County.

In a statement to East Atlanta Patch, Starlight said the theatre has a police presence on Fridays and Saturdays — three DeKalb County officers — and that will remain the norm.
