Two Wesley International Academy students share Chinese honors

Two Wesley International Academy students shared honors at Georgia State University’s Confucius Institute recent Chinese calligraphy contest.

Wesley International Academy students study Mandarin Chinese daily beginning in kindergarten and continuing through the eighth grade.

The winners are Zoe Crook, 10, a fifth-grader, and An Chi Nguyen, 10, a fourth-grader. Each shared third prize in the contest.

The Confucius Institute at Georgia State University promotes cultural exchange and business growth between the US and China.

Wesley International Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in the Atlanta Public School system. It has a certified International Baccalaureate program and single-gender classroom instruction for kindergartners through eighth-graders on its campus at Custer and Woodland Hills avenues.
